iDraw Shakespeare

  • A Gallery Somewhere 3209 Calle Marie Santa Fe, NM, 87507 United States (map)

In conjunction with the Santa Fe Summer Shakespeare festival:
This drawing session features two models in Elizabethan costume. One model will take a one-hour pose while the other model takes a two-hour pose. There will be a 5-minute break every 20 minutes. You choose which model you want to draw, or change models during any 5-minute break.

Poses start promptly at 6:30 P.M., so you should arrive early enough to choose a spot and set up.

All levels of drawing experience are welcomed!
You do not have to be an experienced or skilled artist to participate in these drawing sessions. Other drawing groups facilitated by organizer John Tollett are known for non-judgemental acceptance, lively conversation, and background music. Many drawers attend as much for the social interaction as for the art experience.

Fee: $10 cash at the door

Bring your own art supplies and a portable easel (if you want to use an easel).
Some artists prefer to use a smaller pad (or iPad) on their lap, or use two chairs (one for sitting; another, turned around, to support their drawing pad).
There are plenty of chairs available.
Dry media is preferred. If you want to use a water-based medium, bring a drop cloth to protect the floor beneath you.

No toxic chemicals, please.
